media relations

Since 2018, I have worked for award-winning newsrooms and have reported on several different beats including entertainment, breaking, trending, solutions journalism, politics, obituaries, crime, features, enterprise stories, reviews, columns, editorials, listicles and education. With stories, I am either assigned or proposed articles that are deemed newsworthy. I then interview the necessary sources and compose stories for my audience by following AP Style and the inverted pyramid. Below are some of my favorite stories I've put together from my time at The Foghorn and Corpus Christi Caller-Times, and a press release and media advisory I created for my Public Relations Writing and Design class.

Press release

For my Public Relations Writing and Design class, each student was tasked with selecting a brand to represent for the entire semester. I selected Studiohouse Designs, an online horror retail shop. Here is a press release regarding a new drop of merchandise getting ready to be released.

media advisory

For the same course, students were tasked with putting together a media advisory for our selected brand. Here is a media advisory letting media know of a pop-up event happening at a vendor market.
